If you are thinking of visiting this remote and almost virgin area<\/strong> of the planet there are several things to bear in mind that limit the possibilities of being able to travel instantly.<\/p>\n

It is not a destination that can be planned from Christmas to summer, you can only travel on specific dates that coincide with the austral summer<\/strong> and the number of companies that have routes, although much larger than you might think, is limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You will need to spend some time flying and connecting to arrive there<\/figcaption>\n<\/figure>\n\n

Also, you have to get to the embarkation point, which is usually southern Argentina if the destination is the Antarctic Peninsula.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

From Europe and America it is usual to fly to Buenos Aires or Santiago de Chile<\/strong> and make a connection with Ushuaia<\/strong>, the so-called city at the end of the world, which is also a very interesting place to visit for its natural beauty and curious history.<\/p>\n\n

Another thing to keep in mind is to find the company that offers a package that fits your budget, but most of all the type of trip you want to make.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Almost no trip, except if you get a place on a scientific ship or travel on a private ship is for “adventurers”.<\/p>\n\n

The use of the word EXPEDITION is to add excitement<\/strong> and to indicate that apart from getting fat eating at all hours on a ship with wifi, bars and even a swimming pool, you will be able to step on land, touch the snow and “feel” like an adventurer.<\/p>\n\n

All very Disney, but at least the scenery is real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
